James's Bio

My name is James Gutierrez, I’m 20 years old, and I was born here in Phoenix. I am the youngest out of my family, my older sister who is 24 works in the cosmetology industry and my older step-brother who is 20 works at Fry’s Food. My girlfriend just moved back down from NAU and is now going to ASU Tempe because she said NAU sucks, which means I can see her every day now. I’m the first in my family to go to college straight out of high school. I live with my dad and my stepmom, we have two pit bulls named Gypsy and Cane. My favorite hobbies are playing video games, playing bass/guitar, and photography.

My plan for college is to do my pre-recs for the first two years here at Phoenix College and then get transferred to ASU West to finish my major in Applied Computing and minor in Digital Photography. I applied for the S-Stem program to help me have a better understanding of the field I’m going in. It would also look good on a resume for a job I would be applying for in the future.
