Identifying The Unknown Bacteria-Week 1

I started my first project on the 30th of September, which is identifying unknown bacteria S007M. So far, I have not finished completing the identifying of the unknown, but I know that the bacteria is Gram-Negative Bacilli. I am still waiting on some tests to be completed like Lactase, Tryptone, Sim, Urea, Gelatin, Serratia, and Mannitol. But once these tests are done, I can narrow down the bacteria to Enterobacter, Klebsiella, Escherichia, Proteus, Salmonella, Edwardsiella, Serratia, Providencia, and or Shigella. I did have a bit of a slight contamination problem with my streak plate, larva somehow grew while the dish was incubating over the weekend, so I had to remove that plate from the test. I had some other interns and mentors help through the process since it was hard to identify the shape of the bacteria. Once I finish the tests, I will be able to identify the unknown bacteria.
